Anne began studying the brain and neurodevelopment to find answers while searching for treatment options for her son after he was diagnosed with severe mental illness and Autism.
What started as a desperate need for answers became tools she would later have to lean on during her own health crisis, after doctor’s discovered a tumor in her salivary gland that resulted in facial paralysis. Drawing on both lived experience and a master’s degree in organizational communication, Anne shows people how to break out of reactivity so they can adapt, lead, and live on purpose.
When she’s not on stage, Anne lives on a small Texas ranch with an array of animals, including cows, donkeys, and a very patient husband. A passionate advocate for mental health, Anne donates a portion of all book proceeds to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
