WHY I CREATED THE DEEP DIVE
I began studying the brain to find answers while searching for treatment options for my son Evan who suffers from severe mental illness and Autism. After being diagnosed with a tumor resulting in facial paralysis, I learned that resilience is a set of skills and habits that you can build and cultivate.
For over two decades, I have worked with some of the largest organizations around the globe to teach these skills to hundreds of thousands of people.
After every event, I’m asked how to implement these practices to create lasting behavior change. For the first time, I have created everything you need to build a resilient mindset, skillset, and the ability to reset.
The Deep Dive FAQ
How can I access the course?
You have the option to access the Resilience Reset Deep Dive on our learning portal (Thrive Learn), or you may house it on your organization’s learning management system (LMS). We tried to make it as convenient as possible! If you’d like to use your own LMS, please reach out, and we can help get everything set up.
What is the ideal number of people in a session?
There is no magic number of meeting participants. You want to keep the group small enough to help participants feel comfortable sharing. The goal is to allow all team members to participate.
What's the best cadence for the meetings?
We suggest reviewing one module each month, starting with the keynote and ending with a team celebration. This gives the participants time to build skills and make lasting behavior change.
Who should facilitate the meeting?
The team leader may facilitate the discussions, or you can rotate team members for each module, allowing several people an opportunity to facilitate the discussion. The goal is to create a safe space for everyone to share their thoughts and ideas.
Do we have to go through the modules in order?
The modules follow the keynote framework, but they are not interdependent. If time is a factor, it is perfectly fine to skip a module and return to it later.
What if some or all of our team is remote?
This program works for teams of all shapes and sizes. If some or all team members are remote, request that cameras be turned on, participants come off mute and use the chat box to engage in the meeting.
How do we facilitate the meeting?
We suggest setting meeting ground rules, such as putting phones away and turning off email, allowing others to share without interrupting, and approaching each other with curiosity instead of blame. If certain team members become disruptive or monopolize the conversation, have a discussion with them one-one-one instead of addressing it in front of the team. See the Train the Trainer video for additional suggestions.
What if we don't have time for the meetings?
Diving deeper into these conversations will improve the team’s productivity and performance. Often, the reason we can’t do something is the very reason we need to. If time is a factor, pick the conversation starters that work best for you. The team activities are optional but suggested.
What if things get too personal?
You are not a therapist, and your role is not to give personal advice. However, if a participant could use additional help, connect them with your organization’s employee assistance program or provide available resources. See the Train the Trainer video for meeting best practices.
How long do I have access to the program?
You have unlimited access to the content for one year from the purchase date. After that, we offer a 20% discount on the renewal fee.
Do you have bulk pricing?
Yes! We want to give as many people as possible a chance to experience this program. Please email us at [email protected] to learn more.
